Pasta with sardines: the traditional simple recipe to prepare

In Sicily there is still a wide debate on which is the original recipe for pasta with Sicilian sardines which, however, has three essential ingredients: sardines, wild fennel and pasta. In Catania, for example, raisins, pine nuts and breadcrumbs are used but saffron does not appear in many recipes which, on the other hand, is present in the Palermo variant. Our version wants to make everyone agree by combining, in a single dish, all the colors, smells and flavors of the beautiful Sicily.
